Welcome to The Inner Circle Hapkido Academy. We offer state of the art training in the Self Defense system of Chon-Tu Kwan (Combat) Hapkido. We are an officially licensed and registered Charter School of the International Combat Hapkido Federation (Charter # 163607). We specialize in empty hand self defense (joint locks, pressure points, escort techniques, strikes, kicks, hand and foot trapping, ground survival, selected weapons and weapon disarming). We do not teach Katas or Forms and we do not compete in tournaments.

Although our purpose and main focus is teaching Self Defense, we also cover the philosophy behind the Martial Art of Hapkido, proper breathing techniques, and KI (internal energy) development. We also cover in detail the legal and moral issues dealing with the delicate nature of Self Defense situations.

At The Inner Circle Hapkido Academy we teach Hapkido in a friendly and inviting manner. There is always mutual respect between instructors and students. Students are always made to feel welcomed and appreciated. Egos and negative attitudes are not allowed and never tolerated.

We are located at the Jackson Fitness Center. The Jackson Fitness Center is an 8,300 square foot state of the art health club complete with separate mens and womens locker rooms, shower facilities, and vending machines on site. Our workout room is separated from the gym and offers 2,200 square feet of workout space. The entire staff at the Jackson Fitness Center are courteous, professional, and friendly.

There are no contracts to sign, and fees are paid monthly. Please contact us to set up a free introductory class where we allow potential new students the opportunity to visit our school.
